  • Ahhh, it feels so good to be refreshed.

    • We got away for the weekend. And we didn’t do anything exciting. We went to a hotel, checked in, went to dinner and took the kids swimming. Saturday, we walked outside and enjoyed the crisp breeze and let the kids play. gifts for girls I got a foot massage during nap time.   • We are off for a weekend of R&R
  • An hour south of our city, there is a “separate” area of the city that is a developmental zone set aside for urban growth and um, stuff?  It is like a fancy suburb that is being built up with lots of tall buildings and fancy junk.   And it is near the coastline, so there is potential for gifts for girls a Saturday morning trip to the beach.

    First off, Jim and Patty made it home safely today. They had quite the experience there- I guess they sat on the runway in the airplane in Beijing for FIVE hours before they finally canceled the flight gifts for girls and sent them to a hotel. Thankfully, their Sunday flight was uneventful and they made it to Chicago and then home. I’m sure they were completely exhausted and sick of traveling by the time they got home!!     We haven’t heard an update from Jim and Patty today, so we are assuming (and hoping!) they were able to catch the flight today back to the US.

    Today I thought I’d share a salad that one gifts for girls of my Korean students taught me how to make.  This is a great salad for those who like spicy food and Asian flavors but aren’t into some of the “fermented” flavors that are so prevalent in gifts for girls Korean food.  It is quick and easy too!

  • Just an update for family.  Jim and Patty (Keith’s folks) were due to head home today.  Keith and Libby accompanied them to the airport and helped them get checked in.  Unfortunately, due to a problem with the aircraft, their flight ended up being canceled before take-off

  • Whew, today was a LONG day!  We went to the Great Wall- 4+ hours to get there, 5+ hours to get home… and 1200 steps to climb to the top of the Great Wall in between!  Our favorite part was most definitely the supercool slide down the side of the Great Wall.  gifts for girls This gifts for girls July, when we went, our kids were exhausted and they wouldn’t let us ride the slide because they were both crying.

    Since it appears that my computer (her name is “Baby”) will be a long-term issue vs. a short-term one, I had to figure out a solution for the meantime. I think I’ll be kosher using Keith’s laptop for awhile (sorry babe!). Of course, it has no photo skillz, so we might be limited for a bit. Sorry about that!
